Daddy visited a sanctuary of Australian animals with two coworkers he met at the conference. Here he is with Mr. Gabi.
Driving to the Healesville Sanctuary outside of Melbourne.
Yep, they drive on the wrong side of the road:)
Mr. cute Koala with his bamboo.
He looks like a teddy bear!
Not so teddy bear looking is an echidna, simply a spiny anteater.
An emu.
Side note about emus, near our neighborhood there is a farm that has emus. Well, one of them got loose and was running around in our neighborhood a few weeks ago!
This iguana looks creepy!
Wallaby - “Did you call me?”
“Guess not.”
Not quite as bad as vampires but they are MUCH bigger! They are about 3 feet long!!
Daddy and his other coworker.
Looks like a cross between a forest and a jungle. Very pretty!
Australia’s equivalent to America’s deer: the kangaroo.
There he goes!
They use their thick tails to help them jump and balance.
The fearsome dingo…
…is asleep!
Back in Melbourne.
Daddy also visited gardens and a conservatory.
Australia’s Captain James Cook is like America’s Christopher Columbus.
Captain Cook’s house. The irony is, Captain Cook didn’t have a house in Australia, so the Australians disassembled his house in England and brought it over!
A very sunny day:)
Even here, people like their doughnuts!
“That all the kingdoms of the earth may know that thou art the LORD, even thou only.”
Isaiah 37:20b
Australia is so pretty! :)
