"Lo, children are an heritage of the Lord: and the fruit of the womb is his reward. As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth. Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them: they shall not be ashamed, but they shall speak with the enemies in the gate."
Psalm 127:3-5

Verses of the Day

"It is of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness."
Lamentations 3:22-23

"Blessed be the name of the Lord from this time forth and forevermore. From the rising of the sun unto the going down of the same the Lord's name is to be praised."
Psalm 113:2-3

Deacon

We have a new addition to our pet family! One of my dad's coworkers found this 11 day old kitten at a church. His mother and siblings had been relocated but this little guy had accidentally been left behind. We decided to name him Deacon.

He is so cute and playful!

He likes to be cozy.

We used a dropper for the first week but now we've switched to a bottle, much easier!

He has grown since this picture was taken about a week ago. He doesn't quite fit in our hand anymore.

"Did someone call me?"

We have enjoyed our new little pet very much!

"O Lord, how manifold are thy works! In wisdom hast thou made them all: the earth is full of thy riches."
Psalm 104:24

Happy Birthday Philip!

On September 9, 2006, we welcomed a special gift into our family...

Philip Rader Johnson

Five years later.

Five candles makes quite a lot of smoke:)

The honored birthday chair.

Clara made this beautiful stool for Philip and Davis made a table to match.

Oldest and youngest.

Thank you Daddy!

Grandma taking in the scene.
(While on our Grandparents visit, Grandma let Clara put some ponies in her hair. It caused quite a bit of laughter! For your sake Grandma, we will not display them here but we would be most happy to if you wish.)

Grandpa on Philip's level.

We love you Philip!!
