"Lo, children are an heritage of the Lord: and the fruit of the womb is his reward. As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth. Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them: they shall not be ashamed, but they shall speak with the enemies in the gate."
Psalm 127:3-5

Family Trip Part 2: Mojave

From Northern California, we drove southwest and down into Arizona.  The terrain went from lush, green, rolling hills to dry, arid, and rocky mountains. Need I mention, hot??

Railroad tracks ran parallel to the highways most of the way.  Can you see the tunnel in the hill?

The clouds were beautiful!!

We spent quite a bit of time in the car and this was one trip where we stopped to eat lunch at a picnic table, instead of chowing down while cruising along the highway!! Some of our stops included hikes into the desert to see the WILDlife... :)

We finally made it over the Arizona border!!

Any guesses where we were heading to in Arizona???

The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the LORD, make straight in the desert a highway for our God. Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made low: and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough places plain:   And the glory of the LORD shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.

Isaiah 40:3-5
