"Lo, children are an heritage of the Lord: and the fruit of the womb is his reward. As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth. Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them: they shall not be ashamed, but they shall speak with the enemies in the gate."
Psalm 127:3-5

Snow play at 8,000 feet

We have had a wonderful time enjoying the snow and prolonged stay at Tahoe.  Though the snow is not 8 feet deep like it was three years ago, there is still plenty to enjoy.

Philip learned to ski and by the end of the day he was skiing straight down one of the steepest slopes!

030

The rides up the hill were peaceful but also quite warm.  Most of us were down to one layer pretty quickly with temperatures in the 60s.

080

We visited our all time favorite, private, sledding hill which we are guessing to be at 8,500 feet.  The view was gorgeous.

035

Preparing the jumps.

055

Getting ready to hit it…

058

she made it!

061

The sled stuck to the jump while Davis continued on.

063

The sled obviously won the height contest.

064

Airborne above the sled.

072

No hands!

075

Beat you to the bottom!!!

079

God thundereth marvellously with his voice; great things doeth he, which we cannot comprehend.  For he saith to the snow, Be thou on the earth; likewise to the small rain, and to the great rain of his strength.

Job 37:5-6

084

Finally the snow fights began.  Luke, Kyle, and Momma were the main players.

088

I think this one was aimed at Luke.

Daddy and Davis worked on this huge snowman for quite a while.  He was finally complete with a handlebar mustache:)

For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater:
So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

Isaiah 55:10-11
