This song, written by Steve Merkel and Lee Black, is on one of our favorite Christmas CDs; the Carol of Emmanuel. The words are so powerful.

Creation Museum

In the beginning of this month, we went to visit a family in Kentucky we had met at a conference earlier this year. While we were there, we also went to see the Creation Museum and their annual Christmas Town.

Duck: “Welcome to the Creation Museum, we begin our tour by visiting my pond.”

We walked through an exhibit all about God’s amazing creation.

It was beautiful!

This was Ken Ham’s (the found and president of Answers in Genesis) father’s Bible open at Genesis 1. What a legacy!

In the evening we walked through the Christmas Town outside.

The gardens were all in color. It was beautiful!

We had a wonderful day celebrating the incarnation of our Lord Jesus. What an incredible gift!

Goodbye Cape Cod…Hello Miss Liberty!

Our last day at Cape Cod, we saw lots of sea lions.

If you were quiet, you could here them bark at each other.

They kept an eye on us the whole time.

We’ve arrived at the great metropolis: New York!

The 9-11 monument which is still under construction. When you look through the parallel monument, you are looking at where the twin towers stood.

God blessed us with such wonderful weather on our trip!

Ellis Island where millions of immigrants entered the United States. We figured that a few of our ancestors probably came through this island. That made it more personal.

I think it is impossible to take a bad picture of the Statue of Liberty.

We had a great tour. It turned out to be private.

Even though we were so close to New York City, it was quiet and peaceful on the island.

We were unable to ascend to her crown due to construction. We’ll just have to come back!

Here’s Mr. Philip at his favorite part of the trip. In the first few days of our trip, we would ask Philip what his favorite part was so far. He would answer, “The Statue of Liberty.”
